A transforming

Welcome to our community page, where we will inform you about ongoing projects in the neighborhood. This year we have impacts ranging from the painting of houses, to Happy Hours and workshops and programs developed to help the Otrobanda vendors strive during our annual festival.

Community Engagement Projects

Happy Kaya Hours

This year’s Happy Kaya Hours are pre-festival events designed to engage the community. There will be three sessions in total, each featuring a mix of podcasts, quizzes, entertainment, and more. Our aim is to bring people together, celebrate our community, and create a fun, relaxed atmosphere in the neighborhood. Happy Kaya Hours are all about fostering connections, sharing stories, and enjoying good times together.

Neighborhood Vendors Program

This program empowers Otrobanda vendors by enhancing their entrepreneurial skills and economic awareness. It offers opportunities during the festival, dedicated streets, and financial support.

Community Soccer Games

We’re bringing the neighborhood & partners together through soccer, with the aim to promote unity and healthy competition.

Neighborhood Projects

Stay tuned for exciting updates about our upcoming neighborhood projects! We’re working on some amazing initiatives to enhance Otrobanda, and we can’t wait to share the details with you. From beautification efforts to community-driven events, there’s a lot in store.

Activation & Communication

We’re maintaining close communication with the neighborhood to understand their needs better. By engaging with residents, we ensure our projects truly reflect and address the community’s desires and concerns.

Clean & Safe

This year, we’re focusing on making Otrobanda cleaner and safer. We’ll be cleaning the neighborhood and arthouses to create a welcoming environment for everyone. Safety and cleanliness are our top priorities.

Our beautification projects include a green planting initiative, transforming alleys, and painting FKP houses with the help of FKP and AVF. We’re also cleaning and beautifying arthouses to add more charm to the neighborhood.

Art Week & Murals

Join us from August 19 to August 25 for Artweek, a celebration of local and international talent. This week will be packed with entertainment, workshops, and stunning murals from local and international artists.
