Every Thursday starting at 5:30 at Breedestraat 47, we’re offering guided tours that bring you closer to the art, culture, history and stories that make our neighborhood special. Join us for a walk led by Otrobanda experts, featuring history, murals, and a taste of what Otrobanda has to offer. Tours kick off from The Hub on Breedestraat 47 at 5:30 PM on Thursdays. You’ll walk through the streets of Otrobanda, guided by tour guides who know the neighborhood inside and out. We’ll also treat you to local refreshments, adding a little flavor to the experience.

AMOR PA OTROBANDA MARKET

The Amor Pa Otrobanda Market is your chance to experience the creativity and culture of our neighborhood up close. It is a mix of great food, unique finds from our vendors, and the vibrant energy of Otrobanda that we all know and love!

Amor Pa Otrobanda Market is a regular event organized by and for the Otrobanda community. It brings together local vendors selling handmade crafts, food, and art, along with live music and cultural activities. The market supports small businesses, creates a space for neighbors to connect, and celebrates Otrobanda’s history and culture. It happens in the district’s streets, making use of public spaces to highlight local talent and entrepreneurship.

SKOL URBANO

Date: 18 – 24 August

Location: St. Martinus College

Discover Skol Urbano, one of the most exciting highlights of the Kaya Kaya Festival, dedicated to celebrating the richness of urban culture and creativity. 

St. Martinus School will be transformed into Skol Urbano. A setting packed with workshops, music, dance, and art. These events will take place the whole week, starting on the 18th of August. To experience this event is to experience fantastic opportunities to engage with local talent and expand your knowledge of urban culture. Enjoy dance battles, insightful panels, and captivating live performances that celebrate creativity and community.

SAKA RATON

Date: 25 August

Location: Otrobanda

On Sunday, 25th of August 2024, we invite Otrobanda habitants, entrepreneurs, and visual artists participating in the Art Houses to come together to relax and conclude the Kaya Kaya Festival with Kaya Kaya Saka Raton (organized by Fundashon Ser’i Otrobanda).

This intimate event is a valuable addition to the festival, offering a unique opportunity for locals and tourists to enjoy entertainment in the heart of Otrobanda.

This event is smaller in scale and allows us to savor everything Kaya Kaya offers on a quieter day, Sunday.
